François de Witt, student of the Ecole Polytechnique and journalist, undertakes a profound study of the soul, exploring numerous themes: the nature of the soul and where it is found, religions and philosophers on the soul, the sources of intuition, consciousness put to the scientific test, communication with the deceased and near death experiences, the after life, the mission of the soul… This work raises a number of questions, which the author answers by drawing on scientific work as well as that of the great traditions, mystics, writers and philosophers: Where does the soul come from? Where does it go after death? Is the heart the seat of the soul? How can we communicate with the soul? Is the brain what creates consciousness? Is there such a thing as universal consciousness? For François de Witt we all have a soul, and “it discretely accompanies us, as it expresses itself through the heart. At the moment of our physical death, it passes on to another part of the world, from where it can communicate with the living. And above all, it has nothing but a universal message: that of transmitting love”.
