At the very most can we grasp certain elements of time: which is the ambition of this collective work, to reveal the diversity and multiplicity of its facets to us. Therefore, is time as experienced by living organisms, from the most elementary to the most highly evolved, the same as that of the human psyche? Is the one which provides the rhythm of cosmic and religious cycles that which has governed the evolution of the living world throughout the generations? is this time of biological evolution of the same nature as that of the evolution of societies and cultures? With regards to the time of physics, is this what holds the power to control movement, life’s source, like us the preserve of ancient myths, which additionally tell us that time is an illusion.
