A new version incorporating the most recent publications of Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis and enriched with many illustrations with comments.
Published for the first time in 2003, “Rose-Croix, Histoire et Mystères” has now been remodeled so as to include the most recent official texts published by AMORC, together with many illustrations and comments that did not appear in the initial version: these illustrations enhance the twenty chapters devoted to the history of Rosicrucianism.
“Rose-Croix, Histoire et Mystères” offers a very comprehensive study of Rosicrucianism, from both a traditional and historical angle, and attempts to answer the two following questions: Who are the Rosicrucians? Where do they come from?
For some, the Order of the Rose-Croix, which came to being at the time of the Pharaohs, accepted the legacy of the Pythagoreans, the Eleusinian Mysteries, the Magi of Persia, the Essenes and the Templars. Some believe that it is simply a legend, while others see it as a brotherhood belonging to the invisible worlds.
This comprehensive study lets us follow, from Egypt and the Primordial Tradition, the paths of Hermes Trismegistus and Christian Rosenkreutz to the current day where the Rose-Croix contributes to the elevation of humanity and proposes that its contemporaries look beyond the world of appearances, to attempt to find the presence of the Divine.
The book includes a thematic bibliography, a chronological table with the notable dates in the history of Rosicrucianism and esotericism, and an index of names.
