This work comprises three Manifestos published by the Rose-Cross in the 17th Century. The Fama Fraternitatis (1614) emphasises the need for spiritual Reform. The Confessio Fraternitatis (1615) presents a prophetic character and focuses on the fact that man must devote himself to his own spiritual regeneration if he wishes to put an end to the world’s folly. As for the Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz (1616), it describes the initiatory adventure of Christian Rosenkreutz (legendary founder of the Order of the Rose-Cross), and his invitation to a mysterious Wedding.
