In the American Grand Lodge library, in San José, one can admire a very ancient cross dating from the 17th century. It is a Master cross, brought from Europe by the first Rosicrucians on their voyage to the New World aboard the "Sarah Maria" in 1694. According to certain extracts from the writings of Harvey Spencer Lewis, Mrs. May Banks-Stacey, whom he considered as a co-founder of the A.M.O.R.C., gave him this piece of jewellery in the early 20th century. This brass cross is an accurate reproduction of the original cross (height 7.5 cm, width 5.5 cm, which had a coral rose. Presented in a red felt-covered case
