The Zohar is among the major works of the Kabbalah. It is an esoteric and mystic exegesis of the Torah or Pentateuch. Lamentations is not only the most distinctive of all the sections of the Zoharic corpus, but it would be no exaggeration to say that it is the key to it. Its scope is universal, although it does not refer to specific events, people, God or a story in particular. However, the language it uses is the most universal of all languages, it is that of poetry, the imagination and artistic creation. And as poetry is also thought, the Zohar of Lamentations is without doubt, of all the volumes of the Zohar, the one which gives us the most to think about, because it explains the least and says the most.
