In this book written in 1884, Saint-Yves d'Alveydre analyses the role that Judaism played in the centuries preceding the advent of Christianity. He show its importance in the philosophical history of humanity, and more particularly its involvement in establishing a fairer society.
The mission of the Jews began 7400 years before Christ, with the theocracy of Rama, a sovereign who governed according to principles that allowed society to live in peace and harmony. Irshou was to break this golden age, by establishing a reign of violence, misery and dictatorship. One initiate, Moses, rose up against political monarchy to reestablish a social government.
This study enables Saint-Yves d'Alveydre to develop his system of synarchy, a form of ideal government founded on values such as truth, justice and goodness, and taking into account the spiritual dimension of humanity.
