Following on from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Through the looking glass is also worthy of discovery: Alice falls asleep and dreams that she passes onto the other side of her mirror. She therefore enters into an inverted world: to remain still one must run, it is possible to remember the future and to reach the garden, Alice must move away from it... Space and time are undermined. In this novel Alice evolves: she becomes queen, whereas in the previous one she was merely a pawn.
