Description

This book tests eight basic Pilates workouts.  Each exercise is described in detail, and the different movements are broken up and illustrated.  Numerous diagrams show what parts of the body are used by the exercise and the problems that may arise if it is not done correctly.  It offers solutions to prevent risks: how to avoid repeated shifts of the hips or overarching of the lumbar region, how to align the ankles and feet to avoid damaging articulations and ligaments etc.  Other Pilates workouts that carry the same risks, such as Reformer or Mat exercises, are also covered.
